I don't know if you know this but I absolutely love space. Space is amazing.
I have come to discover that I also love drawing space. Nebulae in particular. This image was drawn just for fun but ended up being presented as some kind of cover or title illustration for an old project of mine.
Gladsheim Angel is (or was, but perhaps still is) an unwritten sci-fi novel that takes place in the Gasarasrevolution universe. It was a pretty ambitious project I embarked upon when I was about fifteen or sixteen and wanted to be an author. The story followed the ragtag crew of the Gladsheim Angel, a rundown cargo ship, as they each try to get to the bottom of their own personal dilemmas only to find out they may have a common enemy. It was fraught with secrets, lies, conspiracies, questionable actions, arguable motives and morally ambiguous characters. I loved it.
Recently, I dug out all of my old notes and snippets and immersed myself in the world again. It was a wonderful trip down memory lane and now that I've unearthed them the characters don't seem to want to go back into the ether. So they're just hanging around, waiting for me to put pen to paper. Which may or may not happen at some point. In the meantime they might just make random apprearances here and there.
So, yes, something different for my gallery.
