But I was wondering how to edit the links? When I click them, it brings it to the journal page, is it supposed to do that or is there a way to change that to make it go to your own link (like your own website, etc.)?

Click on Edit Journal Entries or New Journal Entry, depending on what you would like to do. Click on the Edit Skin button (above the skin options) and you'll get a pop-up where you can customize the skin. The link options are in the Skin Header section.
